From Terry . . .
Hello,
my name is Terry Chockman, one of the founders of Profound Peace Within. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce our group.
We are a group of Christians from various backgrounds who have applied Bible truths to our lives and have experienced the power of Christ's forgiveness and the profound peace that follows. This forgiveness is simply accessed through prayer and a willingness to "step out" beyond a person's limited understanding.
There are so many people suffering deep emotional pain in our communities, being victims of various forms of abuse, trauma or
loss. The pain and hopelessness suffered often leads to destructive decisions and actions leading to various forms of self-sabotage,
substance abuse or alcoholism.
WHO CAN "PROFOUND PEACE WITHIN" HELP ?
We are involved in prisoner rehabilitation and are currently praying with men being released from prison into rehab, (see Stories of Hope)
We have also been called upon to pray with church members from various denominations who have also suffered traumatic events in the past (see Written Testimonies)
We have been called upon and have prayed with many people in the
community from various faiths, and non-faith people, who have experienced amazing breakthroughs.
HOW DOES IT WORK ?
When people become a victim of abuse or trauma through no fault of their own, they are left carrying deep emotional wounds - for example abandonment, fear, rejection, guilt, shame, anxiety, depression, loneliness etc.
The on-going deep suffering is tied to the emotional wounds caused by the traumatic event/s. We have come to understand that Christ's forgiveness accessed through prayers is able to release people from their emotional bondage and all the associated crippling pain from the root event/s.
They still have the memory but the associated toxic emotions are GONE.
In cases where substance abuse or alcoholism has developed the person can much more easily move out of the addiction, because the toxic emotional pain that fueled the addiction is GONE!
We have found that many folk may need additional
prayer times as the release from a layer of negative emotions often leads to clarity to yet another layer of emotions associated with other events - and this is simply resolved in the same way.

We do not charge for our services.
Quite often folk from various places in Australia and New Zealand, as well as overseas call by phone or video call, and in just the same way experience the profound peace within that Christ's forgiveness brings.
